Perform-Autopsy Audio Tour By Zoukak Theatre Company

“Perform-Autopsy” is back!
This time as an Audio Version on various radio stations and online platforms. The tour includes various talks and panel discussions with Zoukak Theatre Company and with activists and experts in the field of history, law and politics.
As we pick up the pieces of our city and try to recover from Beirut’s explosion that took the lives of hundreds of people and changed the lives of hundreds of thousands, we choose to tour “Perform-Autopsy”. We choose this tour as a way to think together about what we are living through, as a way to document our collective memory, making sure not to forget.
From 1975, the beginning of the civil war, and until today, many horrendous crimes were committed against the people living in this country. The implementation of the 1991 general amnesty law that forgave all the crimes committed during the war, installed a criminal regime of confessional leaders who have little interest in our safety and who deprived us the choice of justice and accountability.
Can we keep denying our history after what happened? Can we still argue over who is the martyr and who is the criminal? Can we still choose to forget what was done after seeing what we have lost?
SYNOPSIS :
« Perform-Autopsy » is a theater performance that puts history on the table of autopsy, questioning the individual and common responsibility towards past events that didn’t pass unnoticed.
This performance gives the audience a chance to participate in a process of writing the unwritten history of Lebanon, relying on the popular memory of Lebanese people through the details, a memory which might be the only narrator of history.
“Perform-Autopsy” was produced by Zoukak in 2012 after a long cycle of research around Lebanese history, and specifically the unwritten and long argued-over history of the civil war.

.هذه المرّة في جولة إذاعيّة تكون الأولى منذ ٨ سنوات
يُبَثّ العرض على عدّة محطّات إذاعيّة ومنصّات إلكترونيّة وتتخلّل الجولة أحاديث ومناقشات مع فرقة .زقاق وعدد من الناشطين السياسيين والخبراء في مجال التاريخ والقانون
اليوم، بينما نلملم ما تبقّى من مدينتنا ونحاول التعافي من انفجار بيروت، اخترنا القيام بهذه الجولة الإذاعيّة لـ »مشرح وطني » كطريقة للتفكير معًا حول ما عشناه وما نعيشه، وكوسيلة .لتوثيق ذاكرتنا الجماعيّة وللتخلّص من عادة النسيان
منذ ١٩٧٥ ، عام بداية الحرب الأهليّة اللبنانيّة، وحتى يومنا هذا، ارتُكِبَ عدد لا يحصى من الجرائم بحقّ المقيمين في لبنان. وتطبيق قانون العفو العام عن كل جرائم الحرب الذي أقرّ سنة ١٩٩١، أنتج وثبّت نظام مجرم يقوده زعماء طوائف ألغوا مفهوم العدالة والمحاسبة، غير آبهين .بسلامتنا
كيف نستمرّ في نكران تاريخنا بعد كل ما حصل؟ كيف نستمرّ في مناقشة جدليّة المجرم ؟والشهيد؟ كيف نستمرّ في اختيار النسيان بعد ما خسرنا كل شيء
:ملخص العرض
«مشرح وطني» هو عرض مسرحي لفرقة زقاق، يضع التاريخ على طاولة التشريح ليرصد الماضي الحي فينا والصانع لحاضرنا، في محاولة لتلمّس آفاق المسؤولية الفردية والجماعية تجاه أحداث مرّت ولكن ليس مرور الكرام. يحاول عرض «مشرح وطني» أن يشرك الجمهور في محاولة لتدوين تاريخ لبنان، غير المدوّن، انطلاقا من الذاكرة الشعبية الحاضنة للكثير من .التفاصيل التي لا شئ غيرها قد يصنع التاريخ
جاء عرض « مشرح وطني » نتيجة بحث طويل حول التاريخ، وبالتحديد التاريخ الغير مكتوب لفترة .الحرب الأهليّة اللبنانيّة
